Unusual Silver Flower Posy Holder

An interesting and unusual piece of silverware. This a hallmarked flower posy holder, possibly for use in a car/ vehicle or worn on clothing for a special occasion. The body is shaped and tapers to the bottom, with charming bead decoration and a round aperture to place individual flower stems. Rising from the aperture is a large sweeping hook, which is split into two to facilitate attaching the holder to the desired item. An unusual example, with a practical use. Hallmarks:- Sterling lion and town mark present, some scratching covering the date and makers mark. Date:- London 1920
