Andrew Cox Antiques is owned and run by me - Andrew Cox. I pride myself on being a quality-focused and customer-friendly Antiques Dealer with a keen eye for detail and a real passion for quality stock. 

My antiques journey started at a young age with an immense interest in history. This led me to a love for archaeology, social history, minerals and precious stones, old properties and classic cars. My first car - A Triumph Spitfire was purchased in a very dilapidated state. Over a period of a few years I restored it back to its former glory, spending a huge amount of time and focus on every single detail. Doing this helped teach me the importance of quality and pride in what I do, a skill I have taken forward into my antiques career and business.

I was drawn into the antiques trade when a very good friend introduced me to the world of silver and glass. I was captivated with the joy of being able to own and use silver flatware from 1738 and drink from a Georgian glass rummer. It snowballed from there and I was well and truly hooked. Many years later, I still love my chosen career and get a huge amount of enjoyment and satisfaction from being involved with such individual and special historical pieces that we're able to own and be the custodians of.

I span as many eras as I possibly can, but keen favourites of mine are the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco periods. I specialize in antique silver and glassware, but also enjoy dealing in small decorative items, plus some jewellery that takes my eye. Each piece is carefully selected by me and great care is taken to make sure that everything I sell is sold in the best possible condition.
