An unusual silver mounted match striker, dating from the Edwardian era. This interesting example has a bucket shaped, pedestal body with a circular tray for the spent matches. It has a frosted glass body to facilitate striking and a silver collar surrounding the match reservoir. The base has a light concave. A good collector's item. Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Date :- Birmingham 1904. Maker :- Hart & Sons.
