This is a stunning example of a good sized, mid 19th Century (c.1850) Austro-Hungarian Cross pendant. The Cross is silver gilt and set with gorgeous cabochon Garnet and Turquoise stones, interspersed with delicate hand painted enamelled decoration. The bail is formed in the shape of a flower and also set with Turquoise. To the reverse of the pendant is beautiful scrolling acanthus leaf engraving. A fabulous example, ready to be worn and enjoyed.
Hallmarks:- Hallmarked with Austro-Hungarian marks to the cross and a capital A to the bail.

Condition
