Item Details
Very rare 'Picture Back' teaspoon dating from the mid 18th Century. This wonderful example features a fabulous Galleon picture back. The spoon bowl retains a light wash of gilding and features hammer marks to the outer edges where it has been raised from a flat sheet of silver by the silversmith. The handle is Hanoverian in design and the spoon is bottom marked. Picture back spoons are rather scarce these days. To find a Galleon, dating to the mid 18th Century is a wonderful find and a great addition to any collection.
