A superb silver mustard pot by the great maker Charles Stuart Harris. This wonderful late Victorian example is in the Adams style and has a pierced oval body with a Bristol blue glass liner. The galleried sides feature stipple engraving, stylized urn motifs and a central oval vacant cartouche. The engraved decoration is delightfully repeated to the lid and the mustard is fitted with an applied scroll handle and cast thumb grip. Presented with a silver plated spoon it is ready to be used and enjoyed.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Full marks to base, part marks to lid.
