Item Details
A superb pair of pierced silver condiment or cream pails from early in the reign of Queen Victoria. These excellent quality items have deep octagonal bodies with beautiful alternating panels of pierced fretwork. The bases are raised and stepped and each is fitted with the original blue cut glass liner. To the front of both is a charming heraldic armorial. The original use may have been for cream but due to the good capacity, the pails lend themselves to a variety of table uses, such as mint sauce, cranberry, mayonnaise or parmesan. Beautiful pieces, both practical and decorative.
