A Rare Victorian Glass Dump with 'English Rose & Scottish Thistle' Sulphide

An unusual Victorian glass dump or paperweight. This wonderful piece is in bottle green glass and features a very rare English Rose and Scottish Thistle sulphide emerging from a flower pot. The body is ovoid with a flattened base for stability. This particular sulphide is missing half of the Rose. However, owing to the rarity it certainly does not detract anything from the piece. Helpfully, an example of this rare dump is illustrated in the English Bottle Glass Dump book, showing a complete example. This example is included within the photographs for reference and clarity. With a number of uses, this is an attractive and very collectable example.
