Item Details
A charming silver Gin decanter label dating from the year that the Monarchy passed from King George IV to Queen Victoria. This lovely example has an intricate border, featuring acanthus leaves and shell motifs. To the front 'Gin' is engraved in pricked capital letters and the reverse is fully hallmarked. Supported on a belcher chain, this would make a nice piece for the collector or a usable and practical item.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Interesting to collectors is the fact that the duty mark for this date letter can be either George IV or Victoria. In this case it is the latter.
